Army’s Strategic Forces Command, guided by the scientists of DRDO, successfully tested two Prithvi Missiles launched within one hour from the Interim Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Orissa recently, as part of a regular exercise. Equipped with state-of-the-art guidance system these two missiles hit the targets with a very high degree of accuracy. All the radars, electrooptical tracking systems and telemetry stations along the coast monitored all the trajectory parameters of the missile throughout the mission. A ship located near the target location witnessed the final event. This is the second time two Prithvi missiles were flight tested successfully within a gap of one hour.
