British Army Chief visits India

Seeking to enhance bilateral military ties between India and United Kingdom,British Army Chief General Sir Peter Wall came on a four-day trip to India, General Wall’s itinerary included meetings with Army Chief General V K Singh and high ranking officials from the three services. The visit assumes special significance in light of enhanced defence cooperation between the two countries and army-to-army exercise, which will be held shortly. “General Wall’s visit at this stage will give an impetus to the existing defence cooperation in the field of training and exchange of experts,” they said.
