Proud moment for the regiment

Army Chief General VK Singh, presented the “Standard” to 85th Armoured Regiment amid full military regalia at a magnificent mounted parade in Roorkee Cantonment recently. GOC-in-C western command Lt Gen SR Ghosh, senior army officers and civil dignitaries were also present on the occassion. This honour has been bestowed upon 85 Armoured Regiment in recognition of dedicated and meritorious service since its raising on October 1, 1976. To mark this chapter in the annals of the history of the Regiment, the Army Chief released a Special Day cover.
