Militaria 2021 was formally launched on March 12 with an exclusively curated event at Castle Kanota, Jaipur. The event began with the arrival of Lt Gen Alok S. Kler, GoC in C, Army Commander.
He set the stage for the proceedings of this legacy event in honour of Late General Amar Singh of Kanota. Many VIPs from Jaipur and other defence companies from across India were in attendance at the launch.
On 13 March, the Conference of Militaria commenced at Hotel Narain Niwas Palace to delve into themes like ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat’ and ‘ Cyber Threats’. High profile speakers like Ex-Home Secretary, Government of India, Rajiv Mehershi; CEO, Niti Aayog, Amitabh Kant; Chief (Designate) National Cyber Coordination Centre, Lt. Gen (retd) Rajesh Pant; MD of Tata Defence, Sukaran and Alok B Shriram of DCM Shriram Group, among others spoke at the event.
Defence expert, former Indian Army officer, and founder,Militaria, Maroof Raza said that ‘Militaria’ is the brainchild of a group of passionate individuals who believe in the abiding spirit of India. Some of India’s best minds have been brought together on a common platform to share their thoughts about all things military and more. This seminal platform has been created because there is immense knowledge contained within our own defence industries on the military domain, and – if translated correctly – it can give India the defence industry that can help make India a superpower with made in India products.
This is one of its kind of initiative led by Maroof Raza which provides a platform for defence experts, retired generals, strategist to discuss the present and future of the Indian subcontinent, neighbourhood in east and west and global scenario vis a vis Indian strategic interests.
