Corps of Electrical and Mechancial Engineers (EME) launched a unique multi-dimensional expedition named Josh, including four events viz mountaineering (Mt Kamet – 7756 m), hill cycling, white water rafting and road cycling. This expedition obviously is focused on developing a task orientation. Phase I will involve the climb to Mt Kamet, at 7756 meters, while Phase II will include mountain cycling, white water rafting (Rudraprayag to Rishikesh over a distance of 158 km) and road cycling (from Rishikesh to Delhi covering 310 km.).
The expedition team of thirty members is being led by Maj Vishal Ahlawat, who has been a role model and integral part of the adventure activities of the Corps. A diehard adventurist and mountaineer, experienced cyclist and rafter, hot air balloon instructor and sailor, he is mentioned in the Limca Book of world records. Following extensive and rigorous pre expedition training the team was flagged off from Delhi by Lt Gen IJ Singh, DGEME.
