Commissioned into the Corps of Signals on 9 February 1964, Brig PK Ghosh, VrC, took part in the Indo-Pak War of 1965 as part of 68 Independent Infantry Brigade in the “Uri-Poonch Bulge”, leading to the capture of the Haji Pir Pass. Here, Brig Ghosh writes about his exploits in the Liberation War, when he was given a clandestine mission enter East Pakistan, establish a good working relationship with Mukti Bahini and locate two to three good dropping zones for 2 Para Battalion Group as close to Poongli Bridge (just North of Tangail), as possible.
